Articas

Terms of use

Articas AI LLC, Cleveland, Ohio. Effective 3 November 2026.

These terms are an agreement between Articas AI LLC ("Articas", "we") and the business that uses the Articas app ("you"). By signing in you agree to them on behalf of your business. Questions and notices go to hello@articas.ai; we send notices to the email you sign in with.

What Articas does

Articas connects to tools your business already uses, such as QuickBooks and Gmail, and does back-office work in them: today, it finds overdue invoices and drafts reminders. It reads and drafts on its own. Anything that goes out, such as an email to a customer, waits for your approval. Articas sends email only; it never calls or texts anyone. It never moves money: it has no way to make payments, refunds or transfers.

AI-written drafts

Part of each draft is written by an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic). Amounts, invoice numbers, due dates and payment links are copied from QuickBooks, not written by the model. Drafts can still contain mistakes or read wrong for your customer. Review every draft before you approve it. We don't promise a draft is accurate or right for your situation, and nothing Articas writes is legal, tax or financial advice. Your data is not used to train AI models.

What you approve is yours

You are the sender of every message you approve, and responsible for its wording and who it goes to. You confirm that you have a business relationship with the people Articas emails for you, that you're allowed to contact them, and that you'll honor any request from them to stop. If QuickBooks has the wrong amount or address, the reminder will too.

Your account

Accounts are by invitation. Keep your Google sign-in secure; actions taken while you are signed in count as yours. Use "Sign out on every device" if you think someone else has access. You must have the right to connect the QuickBooks company and Gmail account you link.

Acceptable use

Don't use Articas to send spam, misleading messages, or anything unlawful. Don't try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or get into another business's account.

Other companies' services

Articas depends on Google, Intuit, Anthropic and our hosting providers. Their services have their own terms, which you agree to follow when you connect them. If one of them changes, goes down, or ends access, parts of Articas may stop working; we'll tell you and do what we reasonably can, but we aren't responsible for their services. You can disconnect any of them at any time.

Your data

Your business's data stays yours. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy, and act on your behalf for your customers' information. We'll tell you promptly if a security incident affects your data.

Price

Invite access is free for now. We'll announce pricing at least 30 days before any charge, and you can choose then whether to continue. Nothing is charged without your agreement.

Early service

Articas is new and still changing. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change features. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before removing one you use, unless security or the law requires sooner.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Articas is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid Articas in the 12 months before the claim or $100. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against Articas because of a message you approved or your misuse of the service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Ending

You can stop using Articas at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why. When an account closes, we delete its data within 30 days, as the privacy policy describes; ask us before then if you want a copy. The sections on drafts, liability, your responsibility to us and law survive the end of these terms.

Disputes and law

If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to sort it out within 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and disputes go to the courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date above and email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. If you keep using Articas after that, the new terms apply.

The rest

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the app. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. You can't transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it to a company that takes over Articas, and will tell you. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control, such as outages of the services Articas depends on.
